For Parents

Parents

If your daughter is interested in recruitment or already a member, congratulations! They are well on their way to a successful time here at Washington State University. Greeks on our campus are more likely to graduate on time and Greeks nation wide are more likely to succeed (compared to a non-greek student) in their future careers. Please look through our website for information regarding any aspect of Greek Life: philanthropic activities, scholarship events and social events in our community.

The following websites found are just some views of the National Panhellenic Council (NPC) and others to help you understand what your daughter is about to embark on as a potential new member (PNM) of a NPC Sorority on the WSU Campus. We urge you to look around and see the all the positive aspects of going Greek at Washington State University! "Go Cougs! GO GREEK!"

Letter from the President to Incoming Freshmen!

Dear WSU Student:

First let me welcome you to the Palouse and Washington State University! The WSU campus provides a wide range of opportunities for personal, scholastic, and community growth. Joining a Greek letter organization is an excellent opportunity to take advantage of while attending WSU.

As a fraternity member myself, I can speak from personal experience. While academics will be the major focus of your undergraduate years, joining a fraternity or sorority can be an integral part of a complete educational experience preparing you for your personal, social, and professional life. Collectively, Greek affiliated students make up almost 15 percent of the WSU population on campus and are leaders in student government and many of the on-campus clubs and organizations.

I am excited to continue my career at WSU this fall as you begin your collegiate experience. I encourage you to explore the opportunities that the Greek community and our campus have to offer.

Fraternally,

Dr. Elson S. Floyd

President

Washington State University
